Once again, Layke Anderson’s film “Dylan’s Room” is winning an award, this time Highly Commended in the Long Drama section at the Scottish Mental Health Film Festival. Music score taken from ‘Erebus & Terror’.

Glad to say Auntie is doing nicely for me right now – just scoring a doc for probably November broadcast, and they’ve just picked up a couple of Picture Lock library tunes for Great British Food Revival  (the international edition – you can hear tunes from that album here) My thanks to the taxpayer …

I was never much of a rock fan. Sure, during my my teenage years (that’s the 70s, youngsters) I was, much of the time, forcibly exposed to all the usual suspects, but it never really did much for me.

All too amazed, then, when searching for modern orchestral music to, umm, ’emulate’ (no, we don’t copy… we emulate…) for a recent job, to find this.

Seems the master of hard rock keyboards had another side to him, and rather a remarkable one. This is really good orchestral music- and to me, far better music than anything he did with those rock dinosaurs …
